Other Tank Specifications

Industrial/Construction API 650

API 650 is a standard established by the American Petroleum Institute that provides minimum requirements for the design, fabrication, erection, and inspection of welded storage tanks for oil, chemicals, and other liquids. These tanks are typically aboveground, cylindrical, and have a fully
supported bottom. They are designed for internal pressures that approximate atmospheric pressure, generally not exceeding 2.5 PSI.

The tank is in the process of being painted and lying on its side.

Oil Field Tanks API 12F

API 12F is an American Petroleum Institute standard for the design, fabrication, and construction of shop-welded, aboveground steel storage tanks used in the oil and gas industry to store production liquids like crude oil, water, and other petroleum products.

These tanks are relatively small, come in standard sizes and capacities, require less engineering than larger field-welded tanks, and are known for their cost-effectiveness and suitability for oilfield applications.

FEATURES:

  • Built to API 12F specifications
  • 3/16” or 1/4” steel plate construction
  • Steel shot blasting prior to internal coating
  • Direct-to-metal enamel industrial exterior coating
  • Internal lining available
