North American Trailer was building a new truck maintenance facility and O’Day Equipment won the bid to install the piping and bulk lubrication system for the site. While talking with the owner, he mentioned two platforms that he will be installing in the bays for working on fuel transport trailers. Dan O’Day mentioned that we could provide these to them as well. We worked with the customer to design two platforms 8’ wide, 32’ long, and 12’ high with movable safety cages and fold down walkways on both sides of each platform.
The platforms were constructed in our plant and hot dip galvanized locally. The walkways were outsourced to a company that specializes in these. Once all the parts were ready, they were loaded and shipped to the job site as one large trailer load. The parts arrived and were unloaded at noon on a Tuesday, and we turned over the completed platforms to the customer, fully installed and ready for operation on Wednesday evening. The owner of North American Trailer, and the foreman of the construction company putting up the building both said they were very impressed at the speed and efficiency of the installation.
All parts were engineered and laser cut to allow for easy and accurate installation on site, and to meet the limitations of the galvanizing dip tank.
